Review Gadget

Did you know Facebook got rid of the reviews tab? Well they did! They announced it at the end of the Summer and finally took it of.

Now, what can you do with all your readers/clients who are eager to leave you a review? Send them to your blog or site, of course :)

For those of you who use WordPress, there are tons of review plugins out there however for Blogger users, the selection is limited. I found one for blogger that should do the job just fine and it’s FREE…

Google Friend Connect. Yep the same place where you get your followers gadget also has a review gadget. Here’s a step-by-step tutorial.

Go to, log in with your blogger account. Once logged in, the about page will show up, here you’ll have the option to select your current site or create a new one.

After creating or selecting your site, go ahead and click on Gadgets (left side of the screen) and scroll down until you find ratings and reviews. (Notice the many different gadgets you can add to your site) Click ratings and reviews.

The next steps are very self-explanatory but here is a quick run down. You have the option of allowing your readers/clients to review your entire site/business or a specific product. You can customize the size of your gadget and the colors.

Then you can create the HTML code, well Google creates it for you (yay!!!). Copy and paste it somewhere safe.

Once you have your code, go to your blogger account and create a new blank page, add a title to it, change the tab to HTML and paste your code.

You can then preview it and adjust the size accordingly. Hit publish and voila, you just added Reviews to your blogger site. Just remember to disable comments on your Reviews page.

There you go! It is very simple and easy to follow, but if you have any questions just let me know!

Until next time, thank you for visiting! Go ahead, leave a comment and let me know you stopped by!
Don't forget I’m also on Facebook and Twitter.
